Made in the USA: Popular Retail Brands Based in America

Over the past several weeks, to help customers navigate the evolving tariff landscape (and avoid the related costs), we’ve produced a series of blogs covering various branded promotional items made in the U.S.A.

The first chapter in this story covered promotional giveaways under $5. The second offered insights into branded items priced between $5 and $10, while the third covered items priced between $20 and $50—nice corporate gifts typically given to customers, partners or employees. The most recent entry focused on higher-end executive gifts priced $50 and up—the types of items that celebrate a specific accomplishment or milestone.

Today is a bit of departure from this theme. Instead of lists of items in various price ranges, we’ll be discussing popular retail brands that are entirely produced in the U.S.—companies that have made it a corporate mandate to ensure their products can boast an exclusively domestic origin.

As always, it’s important to remember that this can mean that these brands either produce their materials entirely in the U.S. or assemble them domestically using components produced overseas, qualifying them to be labeled “Made in the U.S.A.”.

Retail Brands Made in the U.S.A.

For some brands, making their products in the U.S. is easy because of the materials used. For instance, hard-based coolers are more likely to be produced domestically than fabric coolers because the materials and equipment used to make these items are plentiful in the U.S. Likewise, any apparel made of cotton has a higher likelihood of being sourced and produced in the U.S. compared to other types of fabrics.

For other brands, the commitment to domestic production means higher price points for their products since they can be produced less expensively overseas. Proposed tariffs would narrow the price gap between domestically vs. foreign-produced items, but cost could still be an issue.

Still other brands split the difference, performing final assembly and even some material production in the U.S. but sourcing other components, like packaging, overseas to help keep prices manageable.

The following retail brands produce most if not all of their products in the U.S.A. Any materials produced overseas are shipped to the U.S. and assembled at domestic manufacturing plants.
